The questions

Does SupraOS replace planning or maintenance software?

No. It uses the operating evidence and decisions around an unresolved outcome. The existing systems continue to hold orders, inventory and maintenance records.

Can it use an alternative part without approval?

No. Technical suitability and release remain with authorised specialists. A proposed substitute is only a candidate until the required people accept it.

What if there is no available alternative?

The plan records the constraint and its effect on the commitments. It can compare attainable stages or revised dates, but it does not treat unavailable physical capacity as available.
